U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS TAPS THE TOBER LAW GROUP TO FILE A MALPRACTICE LAW SUIT AGAINST ITS BOND LAWYERS AND FINANCIAL ADVISORS OVER AN IRS DISALLOWANCE OF $219 MILLION BOND ISSUE

John Tober of The Tober Law Group, David Stone of Stone and Magnanini LLP and Marie Thomas-Griffith and Samuel Hall, Jr. of Hall & Griffith, PC filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court of the Virgin Islands on behalf of the Virgin Islands Public Finance Authority (PFA) on October 29, 2014. The Law suit alleges Buchanan Ingersoll and Bank of America incorrectly advised the Government of the Virgin Islands that the bond issue was tax-exempt.
